Evangelist Oguazi Onyemobi
Evangelist Oguazi is the president of Jesus Power Outreach Ministries,
an evangelistic ministry based in Lagos, Nigeria. He has been called by
God to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations of the world in
the power of the Holy Spirit.
While growing up in a rural community in the eastern part of Nigeria,
he saw the devastating effect of idolatry witchcraft, poverty,
war and epidemic on his people.
At the age of 19, he was involved in a motor accident in
which he sustained multiple compound fractures on both legs.

After he was discharged from the hospital on crutches, he was not expecting to
walk again without aid. “My life was torn apart by fear, pain and misery and my
heart was full of questions about life and the power of God,” said Evangelist
Oguazi.
He began to find answers to his life’s questions after he gave his life to
the Lord Jesus Christ as a Law School undergraduate in November 1982. In
February the next year, he was miraculously healed during an evangelistic
crusade and till date, he no longer has need of his clutches.
That experience awoke him to the power of God as the solution for man’s fear,
pain and misery; he was drawn to the needs of the sick, the oppressed and
those suffering under idolatry and witchcraft, and sensed the Lord calling
him to bring solution to the needy through the Gospel.
Ministry Training
The Lord began to teach him through personal encounters. “He thought me in the
areas of prayer, intercession, spiritual warfare, divine healing and aggressive
evangelism.” After graduating from Law School, Evangelist Oguazi attended the
Bible School of the Faith Clinic Inc., a deliverance ministry based in
Ibadan, Nigeria. While at the Faith Clinic, he also traveled as part of the
ministry team of the Founder and President Dr. Ibeneme.
Early Years
As a college student, Evangelist Oguazi regularly went out with fellow college
students to high schools, colleges and rural communities in Nigeria preaching
salvation, healing and deliverance in the name of Jesus, and God confirmed
their message with miracles and signs. He was a member of the Students
Christian Movement of Nigeria, where he served as the coordinator of the
National Prayer Band for five years, and as the Lagos State Travelling
Secretary. He also served as the Prayer Coordinator of the Christian
Lawyers Association, Nigerian Law School Chapter.
Full-Time Ministry
In 1987, Evangelist Oguazi was called to the Nigeria Bar; he had a successful
practice as a Barrister and Solicitor until he answered God’s call into
full-time ministry in 1992. God called him to awaken the Church in the area
of prayer, intercession and spiritual warfare. God has since taken him to
different rural and urban communities in Nigeria where he has seen satanic
strongholds of idolatry, witchcraft, voodooism, occultism and immorality destroyed.
The Lord has also taken him to various nations in Africa, Europe,
and to the United States and Mexico to minister the Gospel and set the
captives free. In United States, the Lord has used him to minister in revival
and healing services in 13 different states.
He served as the Visiting Pastor for the Protestants Chapel at Queen’s College,
Lagos for six years and as the Public Relations Officer of the Youth Wing of
the Christian Association of Nigeria. Evangelist Oguazi has continued his work
with the youth and he is the President/International Director of Youth Awake
Network (YANET), a non-governmental organization committed to youth development.
Publications
He is the author of “The Fully Armored Intercessor”, a book on intercession and
spiritual warfare, and the editor of the “Voice of Power”, a Christian magazine.
He is also the writer of the “Breath of Power”, a weekly devotional distributed
globally through the Internet and his works have been published in various
Christian publications worldwide.
Evangelist Oguazi is married to Lisa, a physician, who is actively involved
with him in the ministry.
